Telephone Calls:

Please feel free to call the office if you have any questions regarding your condition, medication or treatment.  Many diseases have similar symptoms or treatment needs may change so if you have developed a new problem or if an old problem recurs or changes, please understand the need for an examination in the office.  Our medical assistants are quite knowledgeable and confer with Dr. Basra several times a day regarding phone questions.  Your call will be returned as soon as possible.  The receptionist can handle questions regarding your account or insurance.

Prescription Refills:

Please have your pharmacy call us for refills during regular office hours rather than placing the call yourself.  Give the pharmacist the name, strength and dosing (or alternatively the prescription number) of each medication.  This will expedite the accurate filling of your prescriptions.  Please allow 24 working hours to process your refills to avoid omitted doses.  Allow 48 hours for triplicates please.

Dr. Basra will not refill your medication without appropriate and occasional reevaluation of your condition.  A large majority of our patients send their regular prescriptions to mail order pharmacies.  You are required to submit a list of all prescriptions needed, with present dosing strength and quantity needed (30, 60 or 90 days) as well as the number of refills allotted.  Please give us 48 hours advance notice for these prescriptions.
